As we celebrate the life and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we can honor his legacy by committing to civically engage to bring change. Using your voice and your vote to support people and policies that protect individuals from trafficking and exploitation. A great first step is to register for Human Trafficking Advocacy Day on January 26th from 10am-12pm (check the link in our profile) to hear from our legislative champions and lend your voice to ensure human trafficking remains a priority in the upcoming legislative session.

We would also like to pause to recognize that Dr. King's quotes can often be inappropriately used in calls for colorblindness. Human trafficking impacts men, women, and children of color at vastly disproportional rates. Maintaining focus and energy on racial justice is a foundational piece in the fight against human trafficking.
