IT'S OUR TIME TO MAKE HISTORY
More than 30 million slaves live in our world today, forced to work against their will, sold as prostitutes, becoming child soldiers.
HOUSTON IS A HUB
In the United States, Houston is a major human trafficking destination and distribution point due in part to the city's demographics and geography:
- Proximity to the Mexican border.
- Proximity to a major port.
- Diverse labor force.
- I-10 is a main route for traffickers.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
