Eleven years ago I learned about human trafficking for the very first time and, fueled by outrage and compassion, I made a commitment to add my name to the ranks of those working to eliminate human trafficking from our city and our world. In September of 2011, A 2nd Cup was born from this passion; as a centralized place to educate, partner and invest in the fight against human trafficking.
After more than a decade of building and leading this organization, my family and I have made the exciting decision to move to the UK to be nearer family and find new spaces in which to pour our passion and creativity. It has been an absolute honor to lead this organization for the past 11 years. This adventure, with its many ups and downs, pivots and changes, surprises and challenges, has been sweeter because of the love and support of this community. You have come alongside us as we audaciously pushed forward in building an organization committed to educating, partnering, and providing for a world where everyone is free.
As an organization, we have decided to incorporate a unique co-leadership structure to match our unique structure as a charitable business. I am absolutely thrilled to introduce you to our new leadership team! Chasiti Mosely, will be our Executive Director of Finance + Operations and will direct and oversee all operations and business development. Kathryn Rogers will be our Executive Director of Strategy + Impact and will direct and oversee all program and development aspects of our organization. It has been such an honor to work with these two incredible women and I am beyond confident in their ability to lead A 2nd Cup into our next phase of growth and development as we work to end human trafficking.
