Our Allies Our ally program is committed to building a collaborative approach to ending human trafficking by empowering communities. Our Vision Houston is a model for anti-trafficking collaboration with many organizations playing different roles to ensure everyone in Houston is free. Annually we partner with 12 various organizations to support throughout the year. We partner and work alongside all other organizations that work to end human trafficking and the intersections both locally and globally. Our Mission Our ally program is committed to building a collaborative approach to ending human trafficking by empowering communities. We are filling intersectional gaps through education, inclusive and trauma-informed environments, actionable steps to support the improvement of local efforts, and elevating community partners' work. 2022 Allies Our Values Community We believe this work cannot and should not be done alone, and we show up in order to walk alongside those who are vulnerable. Empowerment Safety and action first begin with knowledge and actionable awareness, and is a tool we provide to help our community empower themselves. Care We weave a trauma-informed and human-centric approach throughout our work, services, leadership, and policies. We strive to create environments that are safe and inclusive for all. Inclusion We value and honor the dignity and worth of all people. We know this can only truly happen when people are encouraged to bring their full selves, not limited to gender, sexual, racial, or religious identities. Action We rely on experts in the field, including those with lived experience, to inform and guide our efforts to put knowledge into practice through programs, policies, and training for communities with vulnerabilities to trafficking.
